Bo knows shoes

29 01 2010

I have noticed a major trend of re-releasing models of shoes form years gone by. This is great except for the price has doubled from the original release. $200 for a pair of Air Jordan, c’mon.

There is a pair that I might spring for that floods me with memories. Anyone who grew up in the late 80′s and early 90′s would concur. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bo Knows trainer…

We could all benefit from a workout while wearing these bad boys.

Twitter activity at all-time low, only 17% of users actually tweet

27 01 2010

Everyone has accounts, no one is tweeting

Good article on downloadsquad explaining the downward trend of Twitter. There are many of my friends on Twitter but none of them use it. Most of them do not even have 1 post. I think the only people who are getting good use out of Twitter are urban tech hipsters that have nothing else to live for but friends… uhmmm San Francisco and surrounding communities…

Message to Apple concerning the iWhachamacallit tablet to be annouced 01/27/2010

26 01 2010

Why I think the Apple Tablet will flop even though, I agree, it sounds like a good product in theory. Riddle me this.

1. I do not want to touch my computer screen with my fingers! I can barely stand the fingerprints on my iPhone screen, let alone a 10 inch tablet screen.

2. Holding a tablet and using it at the same time is extremely awkward. Good luck holding on to that slippery tablet. I can barely hold my iPhone without a case and not drop it.

3. Am I expected to type on this thing with only one hand (my other hand is in use holding the darn thing)? Did I hear you say set it on a table or your lap? That’s what I want to do, stare down for hours a day and get a stiff neck, real economical.

Sorry to say Apple, you are not getting my money for this one!

Where has the past year and a half gone???

22 01 2010

Wow, it’s been a while since I have last dropped some knowledge on this here board. It seems as though, once you have a baby, there is no time for anything. Well, in order to keep some balance in my life, I am going to attempt to get back to what calms and soothes me, blogging what I deem fun and interesting.

First Post From The New WordPress iPhone Application

28 07 2008

Well, here is my first post from the iPhone version of the wordpress app. Everything seems to be working fine. As a side note, I have decided to get the iPhone 3g after a great battle with myself. New York was awsome as was the magnificent 5th avenue apple store!

NYC, Here We Come!

9 07 2008

Finally, after a decade of dreaming about NYC, I am finally going. The trip couldn’t come under any better circumstances, as my cousin, Dan Giese, is playing for the Yankees.

No Tears Shed Over the Penguins Hossa Loss!

3 07 2008

Marián feels that he has a better chance to win the cup with Detroit. I am glad that we had this little contract issue because now we know how he truly feels and we do not need someone who feels there is a better chance of winning somewhere else on our team! Don’t let the door hit you on the butt on the way out Hosser!

Why I May Not Upgrade to iPhone 2.0

3 07 2008

I am currently paying AT&T $59 for my plan which includes 200 text messages. This is a fair deal. With the release of the iPhone 2.0, I will have to pay $69 for a voice plan + $5 for 200 text messages. This is $15 more per month or $180 more per year. Also, if that was not bad enough, existing iPhone owners must pay a one time $18 upgrade fee, not to mention the price of the new phone!!! Year 1 will cost me $397 more than I am currently shelling out. I am outraged!! This actually makes me sick to my stomach. I was so excited about the iPhone 2.0 but AT&T had to go and mess it all up with their greediness. Looks like iPhone 2.0 adopters will be paying for a large chunk of AT&T’s new 3G network!!

I think I will be waiting to see how this all plays out before I decide if I will upgrade. The 3G coverage and GPS do not look that spectacular.

New Twitterer

25 06 2008

After hearing about Twitter for almost a year, I finally decided to give it a shot. At first it sort of seemed creepy. Who the heck really cares what I am doing? I found through a few days of use that I enjoyed receiving updates about where my friends are and what they are doing. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that you can follow certain web sites which tweet news to you. My local paper even sends out tweets!

The only downfall so far is trying to convince your friends to use Twitter. They all have the same preconceived notions about the service that I had i.e. the creepiness factor. Those all go away within the first couple days of using the service.

If you are thinking about signing up I would recommend doing so before you count it out.
